To set some context up for the opinions with regards to holding our global capitalist system at a distance outlined in my posts published earlier today on the collapse of the Presbyterian Mutual Society I just wanted to quote the Bishop of Durham on the Lord’s Prayer. On the Our Father, Tom Wright lays it out clean and simple for us:

IF THE CHURCH isn’t prepared to subvert the kingdoms of the world with the kingdom of God, the only honest thing would be to give up praying this prayer altogether, especially its final doxology.

- N.T. Wright, The Lord and His Prayer
