2009 was the best Zoomtard year for movies yet. Starting with the truly abysmal The Spirit and ending with the luminous Ostrov, all in all, I managed to see 137 movies.
With broken arms for January and an actual television we just purchased, 2010 will see me top 150.

Your Correspondent, Still hasn’t seen Tron

can’ believe you haven’t seen tron…
What’s different about the ones marked with an asterisk?
Seen them before!
i liked the spirit. it had no moral message it looked nice and had fun dialogue. bubblegum! i am kind of sick of moral laden stories. and you had better see tron before the sequel!
ah, but you must realise that no moral message IS a moral message!
No YOU’RE a moral message!
Your FACE is a moral message!
You gave Nick and Nora’s infinite pile of poo four stars????
(ps…Your MA is a moral message!)
My MA is a 1st class piece of work. I’ll link you to the pdf if you want?
nick & norah is a charming and not stupid teen romance: very rare, worth 4 stars
(phew: so glad to end the your ma conversation)
Logan’s Run 2 stars! For shame.
it is part of that awful overrated glut of cult 70s sci-fi!
Oh well, one man’s overrated glut is a golden age to another. My advice to you is to give The Omega Man a miss.
i hated omega man… commonly mocked round these here parts!
Didn’t Star Trek appear twice in your list? Perhaps it was beamed from the top to near the bottom of the list as I scrolled down?
But seriously, if nothing else, this shows serious filmography commitment. Discipleship, even. I’ll go and light a candle or something. I’ve come over all religious just thinking about the sacrifice you made to be such a heroic couch potato. Keep up the good work!
oliver, cs lewis said somewhere that even prodigious readers are shown to be sub-literate when they can never countenance re-reading a book they have already finished. the same is true of movies! hence star trek or terminator re-appearing
with broken arms, january has left me alot of time to catch up on the best tv and movies of the last while that i missed… but how i long for the cinema! still nerdery like mine cant be stopped by piddling things like fractures or fortnights of snow!
Have you really broken your arms? I thought this was a figure of speech … but, perhaps not. I agree with C S Lewis. Re-reading books is a great idea. But I just don’t have the time to read all the books I want to read the first time through let alone ‘doing a Lewis’ and settling down to Bleak House for the 20th time – who can compete with that?!
If you’ve REALLY broken your arms, then watch as much tellie as you like and visit the cinema at least once a day – trust me, I’m a doctor.
